Moana, born and raised in Gracetown, Western Australia, weaves a luscious and visceral web of entwining guitar with flame-filled vocals and stories of the make-believe. "For me, strong emotions always provoke some sense of imagination and fantasy beyond the "real" and that's where my song writing is based," Moana Lutton says.

With a sound that captures the free-spirited zest of Melanie Safka, the dark-seductiveness of Nick Cave and the experimental playfulness of Amanda Palmer, Moana is a hypnotic heartbreaker.

During her short period of time gigging in the south-west and Perth, Moana has worked with a number of celebrated musicians such as Richard Lane (The Stems), Matt Gresham, The Long Strides and Jake Steele (Injured Ninja).

Having recently returned from an artistic residency in New York with contemporary Perth Theatre Company, The Wet Weather Ensemble, Moana is a bomb full of creative talent and passion, thriving in her own unique style.
