davemannPlaying Tuesday 31st January from 630pm on the Verandah, bookings are advised.
The Dave Mann Collective (DMC) combines three of Western Australia’s most talented and best-loved musicians – Dave Mann, Roy Martinez and Angus Diggs. Between them they have toured the world, shared the stage with most of Australia’s top performers and played just about every festival you can think of. Together they are an extraordinary musical force – and unlike anything else out there today.

Lead singer Dave Mann is both an accomplished performer and a versatile songwriter with bittersweet songs ranging from ballads, through folk and reggae to rock. He writes from the heart about subjects that touch us all and cuts straight to the truth. His voice is incredibly beautiful and his vocal range astounding. Put this together with open chord tunings, slide guitar and virtuosic playing and something very special is created. And while Dave’s style is constantly evolving and growing it is still instantly recognizable, giving a resonance of familiarity and comfort to the listener.

Combined with the dynamic bass playing of Roy Martinez and the always brilliant and unpredictable genius of Angus Diggs on drums, DMC gigs are always fun, inspirational and moving experiences that take their audiences on a seamless musical journey from fairyland to iconic pub-rock. Always surprising – in the best possible way.

The Dave Mann Collective has been constantly touring Dave’s original music since 2003 and have five respected cd releases with a sixth on the way. They have played most major Australian festivals including the West Coast Blues And Roots Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Fairbridge Festival, Blues at Bridgetown, Folk Rhythm & Life and Peat’s Ridge Festivals. Dave has supported artists such as Jeff Martin (The Tea Party),The Whitlam’s, Pete Murray, The Cat Empire, Eric Bibb, Thirsty Merc, Jeff Lang, Diesel and Lior.
