Three diverse musicians come together in an eclectic experimental blend of fusion, jazz, funk and trip-hop all with an infectious groove. Comprised of recording artist, producer and pianist noah shilkin, avante-garde bassist and guitarist mat lewis and chilean percussion dynamo sebastian mapulkantun mUnk delivers the true spirit of improvisation, elements of surprise and a healthy sense of humour.
mUnk is the "juNk"!

Musicians
Noah "d'Arc" Shilkin was born on the Planet Imp where people only grow 5 feet tall. Given this natural disability Noah at an early age realized at full extension it would be challenging to be heard. He therefore finely honed his pianism and thus descending on earth jumped in with the infamous Mother Goose. Subsequently in search of dam building fauna he headed to Canada and enjoyed a colorful music career. Now residing in Margaret River "d'Arc" works in his recording studio The Lollybox, heads up his music company Sonic Lolly and hits the keys like a mUnkey possessed!

At 14 Mat Lewis picked up the bass because no one else would and so formed a garage band.
Aptly named Funeral Party the band was short lived due to pool party equipment explosions and offending the local tennis club on match days. Influenced by jazz, funk and blues the coined jUnk style of improvisation suits his unorthodox style. Often changing it up on guitar "The Slappa" is an unpredictable element of mUnk.
